We are seeking to recruit an Analyst to join our team. This is a broad-ranging position in a diverse and dynamic environment, providing the opportunity to advance and develop skills in human analysis, strategic influence, and business strategy. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting our Growth Consultants by providing intelligence analysis, human insight, and project co-ordination support.

Applied Influence is a specialist growth consultancy assisting our Fortune and FTSE 500 clients within the technology industry to influence out of reach stakeholders, shift unfavourable perceptions, and create richer touchpoints across the customer. Our pioneering approach to complex B2B sales drives tangible, measurable results by leveraging years of experience influencing in situations with life-and-death consequences on military intelligence operations, where understanding the dynamics that drive human behaviour and decision-making was crucial.
Job Description:
Job Title:Analyst
Working Environment:Remote work with the potential for in-person workshops (in which case all travel expenses will be covered by Applied Influence).
Employment Type: Part-time, with an approximate commitment of 10 to 15 working days per month, typically distributed in 4–5-hour blocks. During the probation period, the commitment will be toward the lower end of this range.
Remuneration: Initial Day Rate of £160 (£20/hour) to increase to £240 (£30/hour) after a 2- month probation period and will increase beyond with experience and impact.
*Please note whilst the wage is calculated on a day-rate basis, payment will be made according to the number of hours worked each month, to accommodate the flexible nature of the position*
Sponsorship: Accepting applicants who have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship for Graduate Visa will be considered for the right candidate, with the possibility of transitioning to Skilled Worker Visa.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Stakeholder profiling:Conduct opensource research to identify behaviour patterns and understand key stakeholder’s interests, influence, and impact on business initiatives.
- Project management:Mange the programme plans for various accounts, monitoring progress, and identifying any potential risks to timelines.
- Business intelligence research: Gather, analyse, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision making.
- Administrative tasks: Schedule meetings, preparing reports and dashboards for various projects, draft and distribute internal communications, and providing general administrative support as required.
- Sales Enablement and Marketing Execution: Assist in sales pursuits and contribute to marketing strategies aimed at enhancing customer engagement.
Role Requirements:
Whilst no prior behavioural science experience is required for this position, we are seeking candidates who have some prior work experience and are able to demonstrate:
- Effective communication: Ability to effectively convey ideas in both verbal and written communication and interact with clients.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, structure and streamline workload, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and critical thinking: Proficiency in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data from various sources to support strategic decision-making.
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on detail to ensure thoroughness and accuracy in all aspects of work, from data analysis to project management.
- Technical proficiency: Working knowledge of Miro and Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, and an awareness of other revenue technology platforms.
- Proactiveness: Strong ability to work independently, using your own and creative expertise to support the team’s workload.
Given the flexible nature of the work, this position is particularly well-suited to master’s or PhD students as well as professionals pursuing a portfolio career with experience in marketing and/or consultancy and a professional or personal interest in people and human behaviour. Knowledge of business analytics, sales strategy, organisational culture, and B2B relationships is valued.
The Application Process:
Our recruitment process for the new analyst position is designed to identify the candidates who align with our values and aptitude for critical thinking, instincts regarding human behaviour and motivation, and the ability to make your insights relevant and actionable in B2B sales context. The process will involve four rounds of evaluation:
- The first step will involve a preliminary interview to get an idea of your professional interests, academic and/or professional background, and relevant experiences.
- Selected candidates will then undergo a practical assessment consisting of two different exercises for which they will be compensated with £160. This assessment is designed to evaluate your analytical and critical thinking and understanding of interpersonal dynamics in a practical context.
- We will then schedule a meeting to discuss and provide feedback on the assessments, followed by a third practical exercise.
- The final stage of the process will be a formal interview with the CEO.
